Underrated Radar: Greer

OCTAVIO put me onto this song when he was in town last month…and it’s still stuck in my head! Based in LA, these guys haven’t been a band for long and they’ve already racked up half-a-million streams on their first single “Song For Me” released last month. After spinning the song a ridiculous amount of times in January, I have a feeling Greer’s gonna be around for a bit.

In a land of mostly 4/4, it’s refreshing to hear a band putting out a song in 6/8. Although a pretty loose live recording feel, the song’s honesty and energy makes up for it. The lead singer Josiah’s voice is definitely a stand out amongst a lot of indie/rock out there at the moment.
